Central Bank Guidelines

Bank M commenced commercial operations in July, 2007 as a focused Corporate Bank and is regulated by the Bank of Tanzania. The functions of the Bank of Tanzania as the central bank of Tanzania is laid down in the Bank of Tanzania Act, 2006 and it’s regulatory functions over the banks and financial institutions in Tanzania is governed by the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2006. Bank of Tanzania, by virtue of the above enabling legislations, is empowered to issue regulations, from time to time, to regulate the banks and financial institutions in the country.
